The concept of this installation is the connection of the human being with their divine essence, once the physical and material limits have been transcended.

I aim to create a space of stillness and silence where the gaze can turn inward, allowing one to discover the union between each individual and the whole — the universe, the infinite — while also perceiving the connection with everything that exists. Each being, each entity, is part of that totality and therefore part of ourselves. We are boundless consciousness expanding into infinity.

To create this atmosphere of calm and convey a sense of lightness and weightlessness, I have used the representation of the human figure in a meditative posture. These figures are made with Chinese ink on tracing paper, without any type of frame, and suspended from the ceiling with transparent thread.

The tracing paper provides the transparency and lightness I seek in the figures, while the use of Chinese ink requires deep concentration and full presence, since every stroke is final and comes directly from the artist’s soul.

Whenever there is full presence, there is a connection with the soul — which, ultimately, is the purpose of art: the connection with the highest aspect of the human being.
